EST Grip Tight Insulation plug

Used to seal pipes during repairs, especially where explosive gases may be present in the pipe. When welding is complete, the plug is also used for test pressure

Same type of plug as Double Block and Bleed but can handle a higher upstream pressure. Sizes from 3/4" to 24" pipe. Test pressurize the weld with up to 155 bar and can handle an upstream pressure of 100 bar. Possibility to vent out upstream gases through the plug. Place the isolation plug inside the area where work is to be done. Expand the gasket and gas or water fill the area between the gaskets. Cut off old flange and weld in new one. Move the plug so that the weld is between the gaskets and the test pressure. Can also be customized to suit your application
