RAD Torque Systems B-RAD S – Battery powered torque wrench with built-in strain gauge

Torque range: 70 – 7000 Nm

The B-RAD-S is equipped with the latest strain gauge technology. It continuously measures and adjusts the torque (closed loop), making the tool insensitive to varying bolt conditions such as friction, temperature and joint hardness.

The strain gauge is located at the end of the gearbox near the square pin. Other makes of strain gauges place them inside the casing of the electric motor, making measurements much less accurate.

Thanks to these characteristics, factors such as wear or defects in the force multiplier, lubrication of the bolt, ambient temperature and hardness of the joint do not affect the result.

Thanks to RAD’s sensor technology, very high accuracy is achieved. With the built-in strain gauge, very high accuracy is achieved and it guarantees that the displayed torque is the actual torque applied to the bolt (according to the VDI/VDE 2862-2 standard).
