Bolt tensioners

Enerpac manufactures hydraulic bolt tensioners, hydraulic nuts and hydraulic pumps for bolt tensioning.
In general, all types of bolt tensioners work in the same way. Hydraulic oil under high pressure from a pump provides a precise axial load in a bolt. When the system reaches a predetermined pressure, the nut is screwed down without friction against its contact surface. The pressure is released and the axial force is transferred to the bolt. If there are several bolts in a joint, the bolt sections can be connected in series.
